FRANKFURT, Germany (June 1)—Continental A.G. has reached agreement with Ford Motor Co. to supply the car maker with "several million" tires for Ford's replacement program covering 13 million Firestone Wilderness tires. Conti will supply both Continental- and General-brand tires to Ford dealers, authorized wholesalers and independent dealers, a spokesman said. Production will come from Continental North America Inc.'s six plants in the U.S. and Mexico. The company declined to discuss the value of the contract, or more precise numbers. Ford already has authorized several Continental and General models for replacement purposes, including: Continental ContiTrac, General Grabber, General Ameri*660 and General Ameriway lines.
