DEARBORN, Mich. (May 30)—Ford Motor Co. has arranged for customers to replace their Firestone Wilderness AT tires free of charge at more than 5,000 Goodyear retail outlets, Ford and Goodyear said in a joint statement today. Also, Goodyear has stepped up shipments of its tires to its company-owned and independent stores to assure an adequate supply of replacement tires for Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealers. The authorized list of Goodyear replacements for Wilderness tires can be found at www.ford.com and www.goodyear.com, the companies said. Along with Michelin North America Inc. and Continental A.G., Goodyear has pledged its support of Ford's campaign to replace 13 million 15-, 16- and 17-inch Wilderness tires. No Bridgestone or Firestone tires will be used as replacements, Ford said.
