ANSONIA, Conn. (May 29)—Latex Foam Products Inc. is considering several optionsùincluding building a new plant in Ansonia, relocating to another part of the U.S., moving some of its manufacturing to a joint venture or liquidatingùfollowing a mid-May fire that destroyed its primary 284,000-sq-.ft. manufacturing facility. The latex product maker has begun to source its products to other manufacturers and expects about a quarter of its customer's needs will be covered within the next week. It also plans on setting up a fabrication operation in Ansonia but did not give further details. The company set up temporary headquarters, supplied by the Ansonia administration and has free use of the offices for six months, Ansonia Mayor James DellaVolpe said.
