KOHALA COAST, Hawaii (May 22)—China is on the agenda for the International Institute of Synthetic Rubber Producers, as the source of a new member and the site of an upcoming annual general meeting. Petro China, an enterprise representing synthetic rubber production located in the northern portion of the country probably will be approved as a member soon, according to IISRP Managing Director James McGraw. The 2003 annual convention probably will be held in China for the first time, McGraw said. The meeting rotates between the Far East, the Americas and Europe, with a international meeting held after those. Next year's meeting will take place in Naples, Italy, hosted by the European Section, and the Far Eastern Section has approved of China as the venue for the 2003 gathering.
