ITASCA, Ill. (May 17)—Glove maker WRP Corp. had losses of $64,000 in the third quarter and $300,000 in the nine-month period ended March 31. Sales for the quarter were $12.5 million, down 27.7 percent from last year's $17.2 million, while nine-month revenues were $39 million, a 24-percent drop from $51.6 million in 2000. "Our results this quarter do not yet show the effects of a combination of new business development innovations" and cost reductions put in place at the end of the quarter, President Neil Kosterman said. He pointed to a loss of a major contract as one reason for the drop but said the firm will make up some of the losses with a new supply agreement with a group purchasing organization.
