ACTON, Mass. (April 26)—Haartz Corp. has purchased Rode & Schwalenberg GmbH of Mannheim, Germany. Terms of the deal were not released. Although Haartz previously was supplying its own convertible top materials to the global market from its sole plant in Acton, the purchase gives the firm its first manufacturing presence in Europe, a company spokesman said. The merged companies plan to follow a dual brand and operation strategy, continuing with both the Twillfast and Sonnenland convertible top material brands.
