QUINCY, Ill. (April 19)—Titan International Inc. has named Bill Campbell and Ron Schildt to head its tire and wheel businesses, respectively, as presidents, the company announced April 18. Both men bring manufacturing operations experience to their positions: Campbell joined Titan in 1995 as the operations manager for its Des Moines, Iowa, farm tire plant, while Schildt came to the firm in 1993 to serve as operations manager at its Quincy wheel facility. Both men had overseen Titan's North American operations since a corporate restructuring in October 1999, reporting only to company President and CEO Maurice Taylor Jr. Campbell also was promoted to Titan executive vice president in 1999. Taylor said both of the new presidents earned their positions and their promotions allow him to concentrate on the sales end of the business rather than manufacturing.
