DETROIT (April 18)—Covisint L.L.C., the automotive exchange under development by five auto makers, has named Kevin W. English CEO, ending more than a yearlong search to fill the position. English, 48, was previously managing director and CEO of e-commerce for Credit Suisse First Boston, an investment banking firm. Prior to that, he was chairman and CEO for TheStreet.com, a publicly traded Internet informational hub for financial news and analysis. English has more than 20 years of senior executive management experience in the technology sector, Covisint said in a written release. The exchange gained U.S. and European regulatory clearance in September and began online trades in October. Covisint is still searching for permanent offices.
