WASHINGTON (March 12)—Bayerische Motoren Werke A.G. has recalled 3,167 BMW M5, 740i, 740iL and 750iL vehicles, model years 2000-2001. Vehicles equipped with 18-inch tires may have suffered tire sidewall damage when tire mounting and inflation equipment malfunctioned. BMW dealers will inspect the tires and replace them if necessary, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said.
