CHICAGO (March 7)—Trostel Specialty Elastomers Group Inc. will increase the size of its Lake Geneva, Wis., factory by 50 percent to give its cast urethane and injection molding operations separate manufacturing areas. The company is spending about $3 million to build and equip a 29,000-sq.-ft. addition to the 58,000-sq.-ft. plant, Tom Jablonski, Trostel SEG sales manager for thermoplastics, said at the National Design Engineering show, which is part of National Manufacturing Week, held March 5-8 in Chicago. The injection molding unit will move into the new area this summer and have an undisclosed amount of new equipment installed, while the cast urethane operation will stay in the old section and be rearranged to become more efficient.
