HEERLEN, Netherlands (March 6)—DSM Group has organized its elastomer and related business activities into two units, DSM Elastomers and DSM Corporate Venturing & Business Development. The new unit will take over the styrene butadiene rubber and high performance fibers activities previously managed through DSM Elastomers, which will retain the Keltan EPDM, Sarlink thermoplastic vulcanizates and oil additives operations. DSM Corporate Venturing & Business Development also will manage the Dutch group´s new business units, Solutech (ultra-thin film) and Methanor (methanol). Paul Hamm, who formerly was in charge of DSM Elastomers, was appointed director of the newly formed unit. Ben van Kooten, director of the DSM Engineering Plastic Products, will succeed Hamm as director of DSM Elastomers.
