CHARDON, Ohio (March 1)—Chardon Rubber Co. has expanded its molding and mixing capabilities with the addition of several injection molding presses and an intermeshing mixing system. The new machinery is part of a multimillion-dollar investment spread among its four plants, including a company-wide computer network and a revamped laboratory at the firm´s Chardon facility. The presses were installed at the company´s Alliance, Ohio, plant and its Industrial Rubber Goods Division factory in St. Joseph, Mich. Over the past four years, the molding, extrusion and custom-mixing firm has added 15 presses at its plants to improve capacity.
