JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 28)—Bearing components manufacturer NN Inc. has acquired Delta Rubber Co. to help expand its product offerings. The $22.5 million cash purchase is ideal for NN because customers for its steel balls and rollers and Delta´s bearing seals are nearly identical, said Roderick R. Baty, NN president and CEO. Danielson, Conn.-based Delta will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of NN, supplying bearing seals to customers serving the automotive, agriculture, manufacturing and oil industries. The 44-year-old company has one manufacturing plant with 190 employees and posted $19.5 million in sales last year. Including the Delta purchase, NN will have annualized sales of $210 million.
