CHESHIRE, England (Feb. 23)—Stuart Wallis and Iain Cater, the two top executives of SSL International P.L.C., will leave the company as part of a restructuring of its board of directors. Cater, SSL´s CEO, was asked by the board to step down and will leave the firm immediately, a spokeswoman said. Wallis, chairman of SSL since 1998, said he won´t renew his contract and will step down from the board when his current term expires July 31. He will remain actively involved as chairman of the firm until then, the spokeswoman said. Cater temporarily will be replaced by Dieno George, the current continental Europe managing director, who will serve as interim CEO. The search for a new CEO is under way, the company said.
