WASHINGTON (Feb. 20)—Ford Motor Co. is recalling 394,000 Mercury Villager minivans, model years 1993-98, because in some vans the fuel tank vent hose allows air to vent from the fuel tank during refueling. Cracks have developed in some vent hoses, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said, and if the tank is overfilled, leakage and fire might result. Ford dealers will replace the vent hoses, NHTSA said.
