A one-component, flexible silicone glob top designed for use on polymeric or ceramic circuit board substrates is being offered by Emerson & Cuming Specialty Polymers. The low-stress, low-modulus and low-ionics S 7503 glob top features exceptional adhesion to ceramics, glass, metals and commonly used circuit board laminates, Emerson said. It can be employed with large integrated circuits or thin substrates where flexibility at extreme temperatures is desired. The release of a new technical data sheet accompanies the introduction of S 7503.
