Harman Corp. is offering heat-activated films for capturing dust and other airborne contaminants in curing ovens while they are in production. The thermal cast films help finishers avoid downtime because of dust-caused defects in painted or powder-coated surfaces, allowing production to continue while the films capture internal oven contaminants. Harman films soften and become sticky at 250°F and can withstand temperatures up to 450°F, the company said. The films, effective for up to 200 oven passes, are available in a variety of roll and sheet forms. For information, call 248-651-4477; fax 248-651-4495; or e-mail [email protected]
