(Jan. 31)—Industrial Rubber Products Inc. has signed a pact with Baker Process, a division of Salt Lake City-based Baker Process Inc., to manufacture polyurethane parts for mine equipment. Industrial Rubber will make polyurethane flotation parts for EIMCO-brand flotation equipment manufactured by Baker Process. Industrial Rubber´s components, made from the company´s patented Irethane polyurethane, will be shipped between March and May and have a value of about $600,000. The parts will agitate an ore slurry in machinery used to remove silica, and be installed on equipment for the Escondida copper mine in Chile. "We´ll be the exclusive supplier for the next two or three years," said John Kokotovich, Industrial Rubber´s chief financial officer. The Hibbing-based firm expects additional orders for other products from the global original equipment manufacturer over the next two years.
