ADDIS, La. (Jan. 30)—High energy and ethylene prices have prompted DSM Elastomers Americas to raise its Keltan EPDM rubber prices in North America, effective March 1. The company said it will hike standard terpolymer and copolymer prices 6 cents a pound; standard oil-extended terpolymers 4 cents a pound; and pelletized terpolymers and copolymers 6 cents a pound. The supplier said its natural gas costs have jumped 400 percent from a year ago, while ethylene expenses rose 30 percent.
