DORDRECHT, Netherlands (Jan. 22)—DuPont Dow Elastomers will build a plant in Dordrecht to expand its Viton-brand fluoroelastomer offerings. The company will invest $50 million in the facility and proprietary technology during the next two years to launch new specialty fluoroelastomers with improved performance capabilities. Expected to be operational in early 2002, the factory will make up to 10 new products in its first year. The project caps a three-year plan to develop a range of products based on new technology.
