MIDDLEBURY, Conn. (Jan 19)—Crompton Corp. is expanding production capacity for diphenylamine at its Rubicon joint venture facility in Geismar, La. Annual production of the material, used as a key component of rubber chemicals and lubricant additives, is scheduled to increase by 16 million pounds, Crompton said. The heightened output is expected to go on-stream by April.
