Neil Tillotson, founder and owner of Boston-based Tillotson Corp., has been named Rubber & Plastic News´ 2000 rubber industry executive of the year. The 101-year-old entrepreneur, inventor and businessman started out in the rubber industry during the Great Depression, making and selling balloons. Seventy years later, he continues to actively run Tillotson Corp., a maker of industrial rubber gloves and other products and parent of several spin-off companies. His story is featured in RPN´s Dec. 11 year-end issue.
