MIDLAND, Mich. (Dec. 5)—Dow Plastics has announced a price increase of 10 cents per pound for its thermoplastic polyurethane resins in North America. The increase will be effective for all shipments of Pellethane-brand TPU elastomers, Isoplast engineering TPU resins and Prevail engineering resins made on or after Jan. 1, 2001, Dow said. The price hikes come in the wake of rising raw materials and feedstock costs, said Scott Moore, Dow Plastics North American product manager for Engineering Compounds.
