MUNICH, Munich (Nov. 30)—Polyurethane machinery maker Kraus-Maffei Kunststofftechnik A.G. is for sale, as part of Mannesmann A.G.´s plastics machinery group. Following the purchase earlier this year of all of Mannesmann´s engineering businesses by the combined forces of Siemens A.G. and Robert Bosch A.G., the plastics machinery business is now on the market, with a minimum asking price of $864 million. Mannesmann Plastics Machinery A.G. will be sold as a single unit, not split into separate entities, a spokesperson for the company said. MPM has annual sales of about $1.2 billion, and consists of six companies focusing largely on machinery for injection molding of plastics, with some polyurethane processing and rubber extrusion equipment. The group has 6,000 employees.
