Davis-Standard Corp. said its 120-mm cold-feed extruder is engineered to meet the production requirements of hoses and large sealing profiles for the building and automotive industries. Produced in France, the extruder can reach outputs of about 350 kilograms per hour when vented, and up to 700 kilograms per hour with a closed degassing zone, according to Davis-Standard. The cold-feed extruder´s features include a nitrided steel barrel and feed screw, a heavy-duty drive gearbox and six water-cooled temperature zones, each with individual temperature control units.
