WASHINGTON (Nov. 21)—The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation of Goodyear light-truck tires involved in at least 15 U.S. traffic deaths, according to a news report. NHTSA has received 37 complaints about tread separations on Goodyear Load Range E tires, an Associated Press story said. The claims involved 31 crashes which injured 129 people. Goodyear did not return phone calls seeking comment.
