MIDLAND, Mich. (Nov. 21)—The Dow Emulsion Polymers business of Dow Chemical Co. is hiking prices for latexes and pigments 3 cents per pound (dry) in the U.S. and Canada as of Jan. 1. Prices will rise for styrene-butadiene latexes, styrene acrylic latexes, solid plastic pigments and specialty latexes used in paper and specialty applications, the company said. Raw materials cost increases prompted the price increase, Dow said.
