GELEEN, Netherlands (Nov. 9)—DSM Elastomers Europe will raise prices Jan. 1 across its entire Keltan EPDM range by 17 cents a kilogram—about 8 percent—in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. "As the cost of raw materials continues to rise much faster than the price of EPDM, a substantial price increase in EPDM has become inevitable," said Nicolaas Viets, marketing and sales director of DSM Elastomers Europe. DSM Elastomers is investing to meet growing global demand for the elastomer, Viets said, adding "until this new capacity will be on stream we expect continuing tightness in the market."
