FINDLAY, Ohio (Nov. 3)—The United Steelworkers of America union and Cooper Tire & Rubber Co. have a tentative agreement on a new three-year contract for workers at the company´s Findlay radial passenger and light-truck tire plant. The USWA confirmed Nov. 3 that the agreement was reached Oct. 31, the day the previous three-year contract expired. Both sides had agreed to keep working under that pact´s terms even after the deadline passed. Members of USWA Local 207 will attend informational meetings Nov. 4 and take ratification votes early the week of Nov. 6. About 950 workers are covered by the contract.
