ROSELAND, N.J. (Oct 31)—Alliance Tire is launching a new direct marketing and local sales plan for North America. Replacing the more typical centrally-coordinated worldwide marketing model, Alliance is empowering managers to coordinate marketing efforts specific to their local regions, the company said in a written statement. A new management team—comprised of Zvi Meiri, president and CEO; Simon Soesan, vice president-Marketing and Sales; Pini Vidislavski, treasurer and chief financial officer; and Leslie Gurland, North American general manager—leads the effort, aimed at maximizing growth in the company´s floatation, radial farm tire and industrial tire market share and bolstering individual customer support. Separately, the company announced it is in the completion stages of a $75 million expansion of a state-of-the-art plant, slated to operate 24 hours a day.
