Alpha Technologies has developed a new torque transducer for the RPA 2000 rubber process analyzer. The transducer is suitable for viscoelastic flow characterization and cured property characterization of numerous materials, including pressure-sensitive adhesives, 100-percent reactive adhesives, polyolefins, thermo- plastic elastomers, polyvinyl chloride, PVC compounds and ABS. When fitted to a standard RPA 2000, the transducer allows full functionality of the equipment, but offers a lower torque range of 0.005-3.0 Nm with a resolution of 10_4 Nm.
