FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Oct. 23)—CO Extrusions Systems L.L.C. claims it will help U.S. manufacturers of rubber and profiles by marketing extruders and curing systems that will increase production and save companies cash. The new company started marketing Colmec S.p.A. extruders and Norwalk, Conn.-based Cober Electronics Inc.´s curing systems on Sept. 20. Vanzaghello, Italy-based Colmec is a producer of extrusion lines for rubber profiles, rubber hoses, radiant hoses and silicone cables. Cober Electronics produces microwave curing systems used in automotive and structural gasketing applications. In addition to the new marketing operation, CO Extrusions has set up a demonstration facility in the Cober plant that allows clients to see the benefits of Cober´s Microwave Boost Program. The company said the program can increase productivity of extrusion lines from 25 to 40 percent.
