HAMBURG, Germany (Oct. 18)—Phoenix A.G. has completed a restructuring at its Hamburg-Harburg plant, bringing on stream expanded production for air springs and opening an administrative headquarters for its Phoenix Vibracoustic GmbH unit. Expanded air spring production at Harburg represents a tripling in production capacity in Hamburg, Phoenix said. The air spring unit occupies 38,650 square feet at the plant and will create at least 100 jobs, while the new administrative quarters will house 115 employees involved in development, marketing and administration. At the end of the year, Phoenix Vibracoustic will become part of Vibracoustic GmbH & Co. K.G., a joint venture created by Freudenberg & Co. in Weinheim, Germany, and Phoenix.
