GREENVILLE, S.C. (Oct. 18)—For the 24th time since 1989, J.D. Power and Associates has ranked Michelin-brand tires highest in customer satisfaction, based on response from customers nationwide, Michelin North America Inc. said. The study provides specific feedback on tire quality, wearability and handling. It ranked Michelin highest in Best Original Equipment Tire for Passenger Vehicles in Customer Satisfaction and Best Original Equipment for Light Trucks in Customer Satisfaction, according to the J.D. Power and Associates 2000 Original Equipment Tire Customer Satisfaction Study. Since the marketing information firm added tires to its annual customer satisfaction studies in 1989, Michelin has recieved 24 of 32 possible awards, a feat unequalled in the award´s history for tires, Michelin said.
