CINCINNATI (Oct. 17)—Richard J. Hupp of Enichem Americas Inc. will lead the ACS Rubber Division in 2002, after winning the election for 2001 chairman-elect in mail-in balloting conducted during the summer. Hupp bested Christopher Probasco of Flexys Americas L.P. for the chairman-elect post. Probasco will serve a one-year term as vice chairman. The division also elected Kurt Nygaard of Harwick Standard Distribution Corp. as treasurer; Paul Esposito of Uniroyal Chemical Co. Inc. as assistant treasurer; John Long of DSM Copolymer Inc. as councilor; and Krishna Baranwal of Akron Rubber Development Lab as alternate councilor. Also, Ernie Puskas Jr. of Littlern Corp. resigned as secretary. Mark Petras of ChemRep Inc. replaced him, and David O´Brien replaced Petras as assistant secretary. The results were announced at the ACS Rubber Division meeting Oct. 16 in Cincinnati.
