PITTSBURGH (Oct. 16)—Indspec Chemical Corp. will increase its prices Jan. 1 for resorcinol and resorcinol-based resins. The company cited rising energy and raw material costs, ranging from 92 percent to 161 percent since January 1999, as reasons for the price boost. European prices also will increase because of the euro´s poor performance, Indspec said. Resorcinol prices will rise 10 percent; resins 8 percent; and resorcinol and resins priced in euros 15 percent.
