WASHINGTON (Oct. 11)—Kristen Udowitz, vice president for public affairs at the Rubber Manufacturers Association and director of the Tire Industry Safety Council, is leaving both jobs effective Oct. 27 to pursue freelance opportunities. Udowitz joined TISC as a staff writer in 1989. She was promoted to deputy director in 1991, director in 1993 and RMA vice president in 1997. There was no immediate word on her successor.
