AMHERST, N.Y. (Sept. 28)—Mark IV Industries Inc. today said it completed the acquisition of Focon Electronic Systems A/S, a division of Sandma Holding A/S. Denmark-based Focon develops, designs and manufactures passenger information systems for the railway industry. The unit, which posts $12 million in annual sales and employs 90, has "great synergistic value" with Mark IV´s transportation product lines which serve the surface mass transit, bus and rail markets, said David Oliver, president of Mark IV Transportation Products Group.
