DETROIT (Sept. 28)—Groupe Michelin´s Pax System will be standard equipment on the Cadillac luxury roadster patterned after its Evoq concept vehicle. General Motors Corp. said last month it plans to produce the two-seat roadster for a low-volume program due out for the 2003 model year. The contract is Michelin´s first for the Pax technology. In early 1999, Renault S.A. said its compact Twingo would feature the run-flat system as standard equipment, but Pax never made it into production on the vehicle.
