PITTSBURGH (Sept. 26)—Online marketplace FreeMarkets Inc. has announced a deal with Dana Corp. under which the Toledo, Ohio-based auto supplier will buy goods and services via the FreeMarkets Web site. With claims of being the "leading (business-to-business) eMarketplace," FreeMarkets—at www.freemarkets.com—has conducted over 5,000 online auctions for more than $1.5 billion in goods and services, the online firm said. Dana´s presence adds to the participation of more than 500 global companies which have conducted B2B transactions via the site, according to FreeMarket. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
