DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (Sept. 22)—The Specialty Equipment Market Association will honor Crain Communications Chairman Keith Crain with its Chairman´s Service Award at its 2000 SEMA Show. SEMA Chairman of the Board Charlie Van Cleve selected Crain—publisher of Automotive News, Automotive News Europe and Automotive News International and editorial director of AutoWeek and Tire Business—as recipient of the award, bestowed upon individuals who have made a significant contribution to the growth of the custom automotive products industry, SEMA said. "Keith is well-deserving of this award because he continues to promote the specialty equipment industry as well as the annual SEMA Show in a positive fashion," Van Cleve said in a prepared statement. "The fact is, when he speaks, the entire automotive press listens." Crain will receive the honor at the SEMA Show´s Nov. 2 Industry Awards Reception and Banquet to be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
