AKRON (Sept. 18)—Goodyear said it has won new and extended contracts totaling more $16 million to provide tires to U.S. Army heavy trucks and other vehicles. The company said its newest contract is a two-year, $11.5 million deal to supply AT2-A military traction tires in size 14.00R20 for five-ton cargo trucks. The other contact with the Army´s Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command is for $4.5 million to extend a previous pact to supply the tires in size 16.00R20.
