RED BANK, N.J. (Sept. 18)—Pilot Chemical Co. has announced a price hike for its line of surfactants effective Oct. 15. Calsoft LAS-99, linear alkyl benzene sulfonate acid and Calsoft F-90 flake will increase by two cents per pound, Pilot said, and other Calsoft and Calimulse sulfonates will rise by .75 cent to two cents per pound, depending on activity level. The increases were caused by riding feedstock and other costs, Pilot said.
