Two new isocyanates from Bayer Corp.´s Polyurethanes Division lower the freezing point of liquefied diphenylmethane diisocyanate. When added to MDI, Mondur PF-LT will lower the freezing point of the compound to 41°F and Mondur MA-2300 to 32°F. The isocyanates can be used to formulate polyurethane elastomers, integral skin foams, reaction injection molding systems and spray polyurethane systems, Bayer said.
