AKRON—Goodyear has made leadership changes to its engineered and chemical products businesses. Dennis Dick, Goodyear Engineered and Chemical Products president, will retire from the firm after 36 years. With his departure, the Engineered and Chemical units has been separated. Tave Mallamaci, director of product supply and general manager of Goodyear Chemical, will take over as president of Goodyear Engineered Products. He joined the company in 1969 as part of the engineering staff of its Niagara Falls, N.Y., chemical and vinyl resin plant. Mallamaci since has held various capacities at numerous Goodyear sites. The company named Tim Toppen Goodyear Chemical president. Currently director of Engineered Products research and development, Toppen has been with the firm since 1978. He has worked in several Akron research and technology positions and as marketing manager for Goodyear Chemical.
