MIDLAND, Mich. (Sept. 15)—The Epoxy Product and Intermediates business of the Dow Chemical Co. is increasing North American prices of allyl chloride, epichlorohydrin and all grades of glycerine. The increases, for which no cause was cited, are effective Oct. 1 and include a price hike of: $.03 per pound for allyl chloride; $.05 per pound for epichlorohydrine; $.05 per pound for 99.7-percent and 96-percent Optim-brand glycerin grades (including Kosher); and $.02 for polylgycerine.
