PARIS (Sept. 15)—Rhodia S.A. has taken full control of Italian heat cure silicone elastomers producer EVSIL, a joint venture between Rhodia and Italian company Gibitre. The company did not release terms of the deal. With sales of $14 million and 26 employees, EVSIL supplies heat-cured silicone elastomers to the automotive, domestic appliance, food and medical appliance industries. The business is currently growing at around 10 percent annually, according to Rhodia. EVSIL´s Bergamo, Italy, base forms part of Rhodia Silicones´ European mix and fix center network, which formulates ready-mixed silicone elastomers
