AKRON (Sept. 14)—Goodyear announced Sept. 14 the election of Eastman Kodak executive Robert J. Keegan as its new president and chief operating officer. Keegan, who is leaving his position as a Kodak executive vice president and president of the company´s Kodak´s Consumer Imaging division, will join Goodyear Oct. 1. The 53-year-old Keegan will assume the office of president from Goodyear Chairman and CEO Samir G. Gibara. Keegan, who also was elected a Goodyear director, will report directly to Gibara. In a prepared statement, Gibara said Keegan would focus on daily global business operations while he would concentrate on Goodyear´s strategic opportunities and profit growth.
