MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Canada (Sept. 12)—Canadian tire shipments showed overall gains in July, according to data compiled by the Rubber Association of Canada. The greatest growth was shown by passenger tire activity, which rose 12.9 percent to 1.1 million units for the month and 19.8 percent to 6.8 million units for the 12-month period. Only truck/bus tire shipments showed a decrease for the month, falling 3.3 percent from June to 292,116 units, data showed.
