AKRON (Sept. 11)—Gusmer-Admiral Inc. and CEH Group have formed a joint venture, RIM Polymers Industries Pte. Ltd., to market and sell Gusmer-Admiral polyurethane dispensing equipment and systems in China and the southern Pacific Rim. The pact, which marks Gusmer-Admiral´s entry into China, could boost the company´s sales 200 percent in the region in the next 16 months, according to Denis Commette, president of Gusmer Machinery Group, parent to the polyurethane equipment maker. CEH will manage and operate the new company, a Gusmer-Admiral spokeswoman said. The pact "will significantly expand its presence in the Pacific-Rim," the spokeswoman said. The Akron-based firm has had a division in Tokyo, Gusmer-Admiral Japan, for 20 years and a distributor arrangement with S.A.T. Korea Co. Ltd., for 15 years.
